The Simpsons Coming to iTunes
Well even with Mypods & Broomsticks in the batch, iTunes are going to buy rights to The Simpsons then sell each ep to anyone who wants to download it.
Apple iTunes digital media store is all set to offer The Simpsons show to the web users. This is exciting news for the fans of this show which has been running for 20 seasons now.
Only the 20th season is on sale on iTunes at the moment but this should soon be expanded to more episodes. Apple could also offer the entire package for a discounted price considering buying all the seasons individually would be an expensive deal for the iTunes users.

Noel Gives Simpson Fan An Unforgetable Christmas
On Sunday, Noel Edmonds hosted his annual special, Noel’s Chrimas Presents gave Cameron, from Grimsargh (near Liverpool), UK one of his best Christmas’ yet.
Cameron has a rare diease called Evans synodrome, but despite being disable he looked at what he could do for the world not vise versa. Viewers will see Noel surprising Cameron while he is doing one of his regular charity car washes at Manchester’s Pendlebury Hospital, along with his dad Andy, mum Diane and sister Shannon. The TV presenter turns up disguised as a doctor to have his car washed, but is soon rumbled by Cameron who recognises him and Noel reveals he is sending Cameron and his family to America for the trip of a lifetime.
“This was as a thank you for all the hard work and fundraising he has done, despite his illness,” explained Andy. “We hadn’t had a holiday for six years, and it was out-of-this world to visit Florida, with a ‘Simpson’s’ experience – Cameron’s favourites – at Universal Studios theme park.” Cameron will also be shown on the TV programme in the studio talking to Noel Edmonds about his successful battle with the rare blood disease Evans Syndrome.
As another treat, Noel presents Cameron with a signed painting of the youngster by the creator of the Simpson’s, celebrity artist Matt Groening, who has included signature drawings of each Simpson character in the frame. It follows on from the highlight of Cameron’s visit to America, when he was treated to a thrilling ride at Universal Studio’s new attraction, The Simpson’s Ride, where he met with some of the show’s larger than life characters and was presented with Simpson’s merchandise. Twentieth Century Fox also gave Cameron some Simpson’s toys that he took along to a Christmas party last Thursday at Pendlebury, the Manchester hospitalwhere he has been treated and is now fronting a campaign to raise money for a new children’s hospital.
It was Cameron’s fundraising for the campaign – alongside celebrity backers including Sir Bobby Charlton and Coronation Street actress Tupele Dorgu, who plays Kelly Crabtree in the popular soap – that brought him to the attention of the ‘Noel’s Christmas Presents’ researchers. Along with his family Cameron has so far raised £83,637 for the hospital appeal, with various events including a recent fishing competition in Blackpool, a presentation evening and the regular charity car-wash at the hospital where he met Noel Edmonds.
Now the family is looking forward to viewing Noel’s show, having a great Christmas and, as Andy says: “Getting geared up for more activities with Cameron next year!”
The Simpsons Reveal Their New Year Resulations
It’s only a few days to Christmas and we’re all still running round the shops like headless chickens but The Simpsons have already made their New Year’s Resolutions.
Homer will finally get round to voting for a President
Marge will try to be more assertive, if that’s okay with everyone else
Bart plans to raise a family of skunks in Principal Skinner’s car
Lisa will try to make the world a colder, greener and jazzier place
Grampa is just focusing on making this the best 1933 we can. (Reality check – 76 years later)
So maybe this is the time to say (again) Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
FOX Latest Cutbacks
Earlier this week, FOX released information on the cutbacks on the money being spent on many FOX programmes.
A cutback of 2% on programmes such as (The Simpsons), Family Guy, 24, Futurama, American Dad and Life On Mars. It’s due to the world recesssion (credit crunch) currently going on around the world.
A spokesperson for the company said: “Everyone understands that revenues are down and these steps are necessary to protect our business.” Will this effect the quailty of not just The Simpsons but all of the FOX Network’s shows?
Fox joins a growing list of companies trimming budgets in the wake of the economic downturn.
