Posted in Other by Ieuan on the Saturday, 31 January

Take My Life, Please airs 15 February. When Homer discovers that, when he ran for class president in high school and lost, it turned out the election was rigged, some “magic pasta sauce” (made with magic mushrooms, no doubt) gives him a glimpse of how his life would have turned out had he won.

How the Test Was Won airs 01 March but has no plot.

No Loan Again Naturally airs 08 March. A new episode of The Simpsons sees the family fall victim to the current economic climate. When a letter stating “WARNING: Your adjustable mortgage rate is about to be reset” arrives, Homer and Marge go to see their brokers. But when the new mortgage rate comes in at far more than they can afford the Simpsons are forced to put their home up for sale. Homer is so depressed he tries to hang himself from a tree, but his weight causes the tree to collapse, crushing the family car. As the house goes up for auction, Flanders does his good deed for the day by outbidding Mr. Burns and becoming the family’s new landlord. The Simpsons are incredibly grateful to their neighbour. But when Flanders calls round and spots a leak, which he promptly fixes, Homer begins to take advantage of his landlord’s generosity. Soon, the family faces losing their home again. D’oh!

Father Knows Worst airs 15 March. Father Knows Worst is about Grandpa Simpson being in charge of Maggie while Marge takes out the trash, Grandpa realizes that Maggie has disappeared and he must find her before Marge learns of Maggie’s disappearance.

She later goes on trial in a parody of the novel version of The Fountainhead. It will also re-imagine the worlds of Macbeth, Citizen Kane and Queen Elizabeth I, with Springfield residents in key roles. Jodie Foster will guest star as an adult speaking Maggie Simpson.

The Good, the Sad and the Drugly airs 05 April. The Good, the Sad and the Drugly will feature a charitable girl (voiced by Anne Hathaway) who Bart falls in love with, prompting Bart to behave in order to date her. However, she discovers his true personality, causing him to end up reverting back to his old ways.

Interactive Simpsons Memory Lane

Posted in Other by Ieuan on the Tuesday, 27 January

I have just found this recently launched Flash interactive map of Springfield.

It has all the shops and places within Springfield mentioned ever. Pretty impressive, huh!

It zooms in and out and if you click on a bright green box it shows the name and a picture of the place. I think it is a great way to remember everything about OFF, from Springfield Downs in the first episode to Lil Lisa’s Recyling Factory, it’s all there, why not have a look.

Lisa the Drama Queen: Aftermath

Posted in Season 20 by Ieuan on the Tuesday, 27 January

Well did two months of doing nothing increase the first ratings of 2009? Nope, not at all!

Lisa the Drama Queen had the lowest ratings yet with just 5.75 million. This season just kept getting worse, and there’s the confirmation it’s as shit as Season 19. Some of our other lowest ratings include Season 19’s All About Lisa and Mona Leaves-a and Season 20’s The Burns and The Bees.

60 Minutes recived 14.80 million. We were beaten by another Family Guy repeat at 6.40 million and drawed with American Dad with 5.73 million. Fox was fourth overall as well as in the target demographic. The Simpsons was also in fourth place at 8pm.

It’s going to keep getting worse, is the prediction by lots of fans including Adam Wolf, the Simpsons Channel Adminstator. We are  back after another three weeks of break on the 15 February, with Take My Life Please.

New Opening to the Simpsons

Posted in Other by Ieuan on the Saturday, 24 January

Remeber them Season 1 episodes where there’s that different opening (as well as a a different layouted Moe’s Tavern and Chief Wiggum having black hair) it’s changing again.

As from 15 February’s Take My Life please a new opening is starting. None of the characters will change anything like the Season 2 switch but The Simpsons will be broadcast in HD, and by the way you need a HDTV, HD box (and maybe an HD subsription) before you can start seeing OFF in HD.

This is massive change, but personally they should of done it at the start of Season 20 or 21, not in between.

However, tommorow’s new episode will not be in HD.
