Good News Everybody! Futurama Is Back!
It’s been everywhere from Simpsons, Futurama, Nintedo (yes a Nitendo fansite) and Family Guy, fansites and even in the New York Times, but we can now confirm that it is all true.
Futurama is set to come back on Comedy Central in 2010 with 26 episodes. Futurama did originally come back in four different movies (4 part episodes) for Season 6 but this Season 7 come back will be even better.
Matt Groening and David Cohen said “We’re thrilled Futurama is coming back. We now have only 25,766 episodes to make before we catch up with Bender and Fry in the year 3000.”
Glasgow & Aberdeen Fight Over Willy
These two Scottish locations Glasgow and Aberdeen (and their officials) have been arguing about where Groundskeeper Willie “hails” from because there are two references about both Aberdeen and Glasgow in episodes of the Simpsons.
In Season 8 in Simpsoncalifragilisticexpialad’ohcious, Willie reminisces about Shary Bobbins: “Then she got her eyesight back. Suddenly the ugliest man in Glasgow wasn’t good enough for her!”
However, in the Season 14 episode, ‘Scuse Me While I Miss the Sky, Willie wakes from a nap shouting “Go Aberdeen!”
And in another episode he says he “hails” from North KiltTown, which if you were wondering doesn’t exist, the closest location is Kilton in Somerset, England.
