Season 12 Released Today
The Complete Twelfth Season DVD has been released today in the United States and Canada.
Retailing at $31.99 at Amazon, the set is also available in a Comic Book Guy head version for slightly cheaper.
Fans who had hoped for updated packaging will be sorely disappointed. The set largely resembles the season 11 box set, with the discs contained within cardboard sleeves once more. That said, the box art is as beautiful as ever, with images taken from a sci fi convention in true Comic Book Guy style.
The set will be released in the UK on September 28th, 2009 and on September 2nd, 2009 in Australia.

The both covers are set in the US and Canada on 18 August. You can preorder both from Amazon.com or if in the UK, Amazon.co.uk.

Overnight, Amazon.com placed Season 12 Standard Edition (above) on sale for $34.99 (RRP $49.98) but without a release date, presumably it’ll be a few days earlier/later than the UK release date of 28 September.
If you want to pre-order from Amazon.com you need this link, because it’s not yet showing up in searches. On Amazon.co.uk, it does not show the above picture yet, but is the same product, and should do in a few days.
UPDATE: I thought there was something about 28 Sept – it’s the day we moved from Piczo to WordPress (so on 28 Sept it’ll be a year since my first WordPress post) – our proper birthday is 20 May (were 1 this year) which is when we bring in a new design.
Season 12 DVD Information: Post 1
We have just found our first bit of information about Season 12.
First of all the British Amazon website has put the Standard Edition up for pre-order at £28.98 (RRP £39.99).
They have also confirmed that the Limited Edition will be Comic Book Guy also on pre-order for £28.98 (RRP £39.99).
They do not have any pictures yet, but they do have the UK release date of 28 September 2009, which means the US release date wil be around the mid/end of September (mabye a few days into October).
We have checked Amazon.com, but they do not have this item up for pre-order. We will keep you updated on all the information about Season 12.
Season 12 Information
After a 14 months between Season 10 and Season 11 due to the Movie and a strike in between it all meaning Season 11 didn’t get on the shelves until October 2008.
It’s now been nearly 6 months since FOX brought Season 11 out.
Fox have released the information that Season 12 will be out in Early or Mid 2009.
It is guessed that it will be out in April or May, but nothing has yet been confirmed but the fact that we will give you all the details before Simpsons Channel.
